Not an economist, forgot everything I learned in intro micro and macro, so beyond not investing safe haven assets in TIPS, are there alternative safe investments that I should consider to offset existing but not acknowledged inflation? Precious metals?

It’s amazing what happens when you create a platform around a culture of civility!
Would still love more diversity of thought. For ex, there is an argument that tariffs will bring back manufacturing jobs, even if short term pain. I feel that would enrich threads and drive further engagement.

Way to fight the good fight? Any ideas on timeline for when this can be voted on by the full Congress? Does it have to go to Committee first, etc?

Most of the time, I feel that the reporting didn't add to my understanding beyond what was in the headline.
You are right, though. They do important work and should be compensated appropriately.

I feel like "to stay informed" you would have to have subscriptions to 15+ papers/online news sources. So the shear breadth is daunting.
Plus, you have to look at it as the value add after reading the headline. I would say only 1 out of 3 times I feel that I left the article feeling that enriched
