Meanwhile in Kyiv tonight, like most in the city, my parents in law sit freezing in their apartment, it’s minus 20, and there’s been no electricity or heating for close to 20 hours, as ru**ia continues to attack the energy sector.
I fu**ing hate you ru**ia

What a wonderful response to ‘One night’, my first zine launched today, centred around the hotel rooms I stayed in between 2015 and 2021.
Close to half the 150 copies of this 1st edition already sold.
Thank you all for the support.

I’ve made a zine…or ‘what to do when you are out of action for 8 weeks’.
After 7 photobooks I’ve made my first ever zine, ‘One night’, centred around the hotel rooms I stayed in between 2015 and 2021.

Recovery.
I am acutely aware how lucky I am, recovering with warmth and heat under quiet skies.
In Kyiv, family members recover in minus 15 temperatures with no heat or electricity for much of the day, with the constant threat & attack of drones and missiles

Was due to be on a plane to a snowy Poland today to make work on one of my projects, but injury has put paid to that.
So instead it’s more cinematography and sound work on the documentary film my wife is making.

Signing & framing this print today as a gift for my sister in law.
I made the photograph near our house in Kyiv in 2021, walking to the frozen river.
Minus 14 or so, walking in deep snow up to my knees cold, and wonderful.
