I admire this family. They go to the homeless shelters and serve. They serve veterans and children. They are not afraid of work.

In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet.

After a few days, I received one of the most bizarre phone calls I’ve ever had, asking “So when are you coming to pick up your owl?” 🧵

Antisemitism is being spread on both the right & the left.

We need to stand strong against hate, no matter where it comes from.

Hate is poison.
Hate is violence.

Give haters weapons & it's a combustible combination that leads to loss of life.

Prayers for the families affected & prayers for love!

Some call us shortsighted if we focus on retaking Congress in the midterms rather than on what comes next. No! That’s like calling shortsighted those on the Titanic who focused on avoiding the iceberg rather than on the rest of the voyage. There’s no “rest of the voyage” if we hit the damn iceberg!
