We’re suing the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for restricting access to housing grants based on politically-motivated criteria.

These federal funds exist to aid people experiencing homelessness — not to punish states, localities, and service providers trying to help.

This has nothing to do with safety or “tackling” homelessness. Forcibly removing homeless and poor people from their city, after stripping away their healthcare and food, is another step toward fascism.

Being unhoused because you can’t afford housing is not the same as being unable to care for yourself due to mental illness! The EO ignores real solutions like fully funding housing first, including support services, would throw people in institutions, violating rights, wasting money and lives.
