New platform, new handle but always just looking and finding
Forget being wrong about “how public opinion would respond to immigration in 2025”; do these ppl not remember pre-2020 when immigration was on a 15-year upswing

Or the two most high performing candidates w/ Latinos (Obama) did so after *moving left on immigration*!!!

Can anyone explain how we are supposed to feel about the economy rn bc early this week, I saw economists freaking out about the job reports and CPI and now I see economists saying “it’s fine actually”
December 19, 2025 at 6:23 PM
Now that Trump not only has launched an attack on Latino and but also barred most Africans from entering the United States, will Democratic electeds finally push back on this white nationalist insurgency???
December 17, 2025 at 12:21 PM
We got -Joe Crowley- to join John Lewis to block the road to WH to protest family outcry

How are Dems so feckless
December 16, 2025 at 4:48 PM
Like you are scared of backlash but even seeing the public organized in resistance against a racist secret police for months to defend their neighbors……and you can’t even have political courage to lead them in resistance

Does no one remember outcry against family separation?
December 16, 2025 at 4:46 PM
Real talk: it’s crazy how Trump is inciting so much backlash on immigration (-22 approval) & there’s no coordinated response of opposition from elected Democrats though this deportation regime has gone on for months

“We don’t have a positive vision yet ”-fine but at least be an opposition party
December 16, 2025 at 4:46 PM
All due respect, this is not true

From Scher in 2018 Politico: “greatest thing on the left since Obama/Edwards with a proudly progressive message”

Ppl just forget progressive used to be a replacement for liberal bc it was seen as a dirty word
December 15, 2025 at 1:58 PM
(And is on the upswing again)
3) Markey is a stalwart on the left (literally in 2019, MA left was itching to primary him. This is a pro-Iraq War pro-lifer who shifted massively left in 2019 to ward off JK3)
December 15, 2025 at 1:55 PM
My hobbyhorse is going to get ppl to remember how pre-2020 politics actually worked

1) Beto wasn’t a progressive (WTF are you talking about- for 2018 & for TX, he was & called as such)
2) Immigration has always been a thorny issue for Dems (immigration had a 15-year climb in popularity pre-COVID)
December 15, 2025 at 1:55 PM
He’s so good even the “middling works” are phenomenal- I’ve loved Flipped every since I was a kid
December 15, 2025 at 5:26 AM
“Once you will find someone iridescent and nothing will ever compare” is the first movie quote that truly spoke to me.

And I have always carried it with me since I was 12 to remind myself to do what is right and reject comfort, conformity, and complacency.

It’s ok to be weird but never an asshole
December 15, 2025 at 5:02 AM
Reiner’s adaptation of Flipped got me to fall in love w/ film as an art form, showing how directors can breathe new life into a work by imbuing it with their life experiences

It was the first movie I ever brought and God, this hurts
December 15, 2025 at 5:01 AM
Also Bovino is CBP and it’s important to note that so ppl understand that the problem isn’t just ICE- CBP is worse bc they have expanded authority to do lawless actions like warrantless searches and are often more violent

And they are given a border zone that encompasses 2/3 of America!
December 14, 2025 at 5:53 PM
Begging ppl to remember abolish DHS (& subagencies of ICE and CBP) has been a movement since its inception only 22 years ago bc ppl (often libertarians) easily saw how it was going to be used to trample civil liberties in name of “security”

From 2015:
December 14, 2025 at 5:53 PM
Yes but also Garcia’s treatment and Trump’s violation of civil liberties wrt deporting ppl to gulags was very unpopular- most unpopular thing he has done on immigration w/ 61 percent disapproving!
December 14, 2025 at 2:24 AM
But most importantly I think ppl underrate/ignore how the primary electorate doesn’t blame Kamala for 2024. They think she did best she could in a tough spot

They blame Joe instead
December 13, 2025 at 10:13 PM
My hot take is that Kamala goes for 2028, we likely are getting a 2020 primary redux w/ her as Biden

Esp if she goes with a “both parties failed America and institutions are broken”angle
December 13, 2025 at 10:13 PM
Admiral Alvin Holsey, who wanted to take a tougher stance against cartels, literally resigned/was fired bc he refused to do the boat strikes

Why are moderate Dems so willing to bend over backwards- also Bradley was elevated *precisely bc* he was the only one willing to do the murders!!
December 8, 2025 at 3:14 PM
Ngl kinda wild Allred thought he had to drop out when it appears Talarico renegaded on the coordinated summit not Collin

There are probably several points about race you can make here 🤷🏾‍♀️
December 8, 2025 at 2:00 PM
Sidenote: even tho I disagree w/ Lak a bunch of times, he’s right here and it’s funny how ppl mocked Schumer for the “every rural vote we lose, we will gain 2 suburban voters” but there is a reason he said that lol
December 7, 2025 at 6:43 AM
Polls showing that millennials are more conservative than expected *and* that Dems are not over-performing w/ wealthy whites but rather non-college and educated minorities…..it’s been a banner day for polls revealing trends that have been apparent for months but ignored for *narrative* lol
December 7, 2025 at 6:43 AM
Trying to delude myself into thinking that this isn’t bad bc Netflix will definitely do Teen Titans Season 6 and revive Young Justice for nostalgia

Also revive Sex Lives of College Girls bc they love Mindy Kailing
December 5, 2025 at 6:11 PM
“I can’t be racist bc there is one black candidate I do like”- we need to bring woke back im so serious
December 5, 2025 at 1:20 PM
1) TX does runoffs in primaries so no candidate could win the Democratic primary with only 30% of the vote

2)Talarico, Allred, Beto *and* Castro openly did a “elite conventional/mod Dem coordination summit” precisely to avoid this chaos and either Collin, James, or both just ignore the decision
December 5, 2025 at 12:37 PM
Yeah I don’t love the new expectation setting in media that the only real victory for Dems tonight is winning TN-07

What matters is margin- like if the race is actually a double digit Dem overperformance, let alone within single digits (as was the original expectation), that is the true victory!
