J'ai grandi dans une famille écolo militante (super catho) et je n'ai jamais eu de sapin (pas écolo, trop païen). Il y a 4 ans, j'ai reçu ce sapin très iconique (indexical ? 😂), facile à monter, ranger, qui permet de profiter des décorations. Cette année, on rajoute un pigeon et une boule Guinness.
Le sapin vient de chez Dille & Kamille (photo issue de leur website). En bois, les branches forment des tiges de longueurs différentes sur lesquelles on peut facilement mettre des décorations, avec une étoile au sommet du sapin.

CARGO. JOURNAL FOR CULTURAL AND SOCIAL ANTHROPOLOGY Call for Papers (Special Issue) Ethnographies of Learning and Teaching Across Different Cultural Contexts Cargo. Journal for Cultural and Social Anthropology Hana Cervinkova and Josefine Wagner (Eds.) We are seeking contributions to a special issue of Cargo. Journal for Cultural and Social Anthropology focused on contemporary ethnographic research of learning and teaching across different cultural contexts. Situated at the intersection of education and anthropology, this special issue invites authors to examine the social discourses that shape contemporary educational practices, theories and policies. We welcome a wide range of submissions from both anthropologists and educational researchers engaging with diverse educational contexts (both formal and informal). Articles must be written in the English language and can range from full-length empirical research studies and theoretical contributions (5,000 - 8,000 words) to shorter papers featuring reflections or interviews (2,000 - 4,000 words). Cargo. Journal for Cultural and Social Anthropology (ISSN online 2450-3452) is a peer-reviewed full open-access journal published by the University of Pardubice, the University of Hradec Kralové and the Czech Association for Social Anthropology (CASA). The Journal focuses on the theory-and-practice of ethnographic research and critical discussion of anthropological theory and knowledge. Photo d'une huile d'aneth toute fraiche, prête à être ajoutée à la soupe de champignons. L'huile est verte fluo. Photo de deux bols de soupe de champignons avec deux cuillères d'huile d'aneth. L'huile est bien verte et flotte à la surface de la soupe (c'est extrêmement satisfaisant), elle donne un goût super frais à la soupe, c'est tellement bon.

The first thing I found interesting to explore was the distinction between history and memories. How can we approach memories in a democratic way, incorporating the notion of consent (towards the past, present and future)?

(I love that each part of the book starts with a definition of fall.)

Finally finding a needle for Nålebinding at the Oslo Kulturhistorisk Museum. I remember discussing it with @drnwillburger.bsky.social 2-3 years ago, now I'll be able to try it out 🧶

Dresses with sharp pleats came into fashion in towns in the 12th century. They were popular for a hundred years! The pleats were sewn down the back of the fabric and acted as a flexible accordion. Assiette contenant des croquettes danoises aux pois, avec des pommes de terre et des légumes grillés dans une petite casserole en fonte. La vue pas trop mal sur le ferry, en quittant Copenhague. Il y a des gens sur le pont en-dessous, un coucher de soleil qui traverse de gros nuages pluvieux.

Accompanying text for the Register of Book Workers, overview of members for 1467: "Bruges and Paris dominate the production of Books of Hours in the 15t century. This register of the Guild of Book Producers and Merchants records the names of the craftspeople who made Books of Hours in Bruges. Noted beside their names (and sometimes their professions) is the membership fee they paid. Between 1455 and 1500, a quarter of the Guild members are women. Most work under the supervision of a man, either as apprentices or as family members. A few succeed in becoming independent entrepreneurs." Went to see the exhibition ‘Trots and Troost (Pride and Solace) - medieval books of hours and their readers’ at the Groeningemuseum in Bruges (thanks to @svanimpe.bsky.social for sharing the information!).

Appreciated the work done to highlight women in the documents and contextualisations.
