Watching an episode of American Pickers, which we know is scripted, but they are at the Hamilton Hotel in KY, where black entertainers through the years came to have a clean, comfortable place to stay in times when such places were rare. B. B. King, Cab Calloway, Ella Fitzgerald. Amazing stuff.

I have to leave "what I used to be able to do" behind me. I can't move forward and grow with the goal to get back to the old, either. It's time to envelop myself with what I have in front of me. New eyes, new style... new touch.

The cops just drove off after I was violently & brutally assaulted by 2 LP officers (not for stealing; for mouthiness) in an attack that cracked my screen and possibly my neck??

Well, they’re finally here, at least. I mean, they’re fully coordinating with the #QFC #LP guys to make this go away which I dont intend to comply with, but #SeattlePolice have so far been polite and ineffectual.

when I was a kid we had state conservationists come to the schools to teach gun handling/gun safety. but we were Central Appalachian and southern Central Kentuckians. we were farmers and hunters.

The directive from Abbott doesn’t specifically mention rainbow crosswalks but said Texans expect their taxpayer dollars to be used wisely and not used to advance political agendas on Texas roadways.
