In June, my cat Journey chewed the cord of my Dyson Animal (more info in the ALT). I have just now replaced the power cord, reattached the wiring, reassembled the switch mechanism and the vacuum WORKS, and I am SO PROUD OF MYSELF RIGHT NOW. And also my cats hate me. The roaring monster is back. 😡
The culprit. He was abandoned as a newborn, and that's likely why he chews. He's not bored: he has a cat friend, lots of toys, and an outdoor catio. He gets regular vet visits, and he's healthy. I had cat-proofed all the cords for my laptop, etc., but I forgot about the vacuum. I've since gotten Journey some unbleached cotton rope to chew on, and he seems to prefer that. So hopefully, problem solved!

True story: about a week before the #nokings protest, I dreamed I was carrying this sign at the protest. You know when something is SO FUNNY in a dream, but when you wake up, it's dumb? I still thought it was funny. And lots of folks laughed and wanted to take a picture of it. So, yay! 😊

I ended up only watching Mystics in Bali last night. I have zero regrets. Every horror fan should watch this movie. It's not a good movie. It's an unpredictable, entertaining fever dream with some delightfully gooey practical effects.
