Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.

No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.

This was about Starlink, but it applies to almost every single layer of the tech stack.

Europe can’t keep dithering, our tech dependency is critical risk to our security.
Musk threatens to shut off Starlink access if Ukraine won’t sign the minerals “deal”.

So many of us warned about Europe’s near-total tech dependence on the US. Deeply irresponsible to rely on the continued benevolence of an external actor for such vital systems. kyivindependent.com/us-threatens...

German and Russian naval units have been exchanging* live warning rounds in Baltic Sea, on several occasions, recently.

Yup.

Yesterdays news deserves a bit more clickbaity phrasing. Because it is insane news.

*unclear from statement exactly who did the shooting, presumably German navy.

Do you remember when I sounded the alarm

"Russian broken 7k ton fertilizer ship that visits key strategic locations is a bad idea. It takes only some oil to make it a floating bomb."

Guess what, parts of the cargo was contaminated with fuel oil and the rest is heading for Newcastle.

The open, very fine-grained AIS-data for Danish waters up until Nov 19 2024 has been released.

This will contain a lot of the relevant naval traffic from these days. Likely data as Yi Peng 3 passes cable C-Lion 1.

But range from Bornholm differs between days, so not certain.
