Eye week has been going on for months now. It’s way past time to finish this part of the course and move on. Here’s today’s iteration exercise. These aren’t amazing but that’s why it’s a study.

Setting up my classroom. I’m tired.

Some cell models, a preserved turtle, and organizer trays of paper are also present. A big red button with two signs. One has very big, bold letters and says, “Warning: Do not push the big red button”. In much smaller lettering the second sign warns that pushing the big red button implements the, “FZC SOP,” and explains that there will be five minutes of zero conversation as a result.

Finally home. It’s so hot here. Anyway, here’s a picture of the Yellowstone geothermal feature I found the most impressive in person. It’s the porcelain basin. Or anyway, part of it.

I went to see Old Faithful because it’s expected. I arrived late in the morning and the parking lots were full. It took some time to find a spot and then there was a good bit of walking. There’s a glass building in front of the geyser and then a road and then stone benches in two rows. People…

I did see old faithful and many amazing geothermal thingums but the hike to and from this view was the thing I’m happiest about accomplishing this week. Tonight I’m as a KOA with WiFi. Car camping is what made this vacation affordable for me. One night at a hotel can cost between $300-$750…

I was reflecting today on my recent artistic journey (because you folks are amazing and cool and way too nice) and the beginning of this nonsense was Project for Awesome. So, to recapture that feeling, I decided to make a quick and silly illustration of this week’s Dear Hank and John.
It’s a frog in a space suit. They’re in space. They have “Mike” written on their name tag. They look as though somebody took about the amount of time it might take to listen to half a podcast in their creation.
