Many San Franciscans were jolted by a 3.7 magnitude earthquake that struck just after 7 a.m. Friday.

The epicenter of the quake was detected just offshore near the San Francisco Zoo. The quake appeared to emanate from the San Andreas Fault, according to a USGS map of the quake.
