People imagine picking up and finding *something better* is an easy solution. But how is that supposed to work, when all your time and energy goes to staying alive? You have almost nothing to set aside to actually fight your way out.

So, only constant doubt can help collapsing a fascist regime controlled by a despot. I mean, I still love and enjoy Dr. Who, but this year it has lost the last shred of subtlety it still had. #drwho

I placate my conscience with a sip of Benacol before every slice of cake.
Last night I got a text from my GP saying my cholesterol was a little high, but a few moments later I got some really good news, so what am I supposed to do? Celebrate with some raisins? Well I did, but after that I had a Freddo too.

I'm very keen to boycott US products, but it does not escape me that I work for an American company, so that's that. Hence, I guess I'll just boycott Dominos and order pizza Apache instead?

My new manager discussed with me this thing we need to work on for the rest of 2025, which they say is super important. I still have no idea what it is though.

In Ireland, even the smallest or nastiest chippy boasts to make "award winning" fish and chips. All of them, no exception. I often wonder what kind of award that is, and if they are missing the whole point of awards.
