The orthorectified product of our first non-linear flight over the Aletsch Glacier does look promising, apart from the clouds that were present at the time. Activation of the stabilising platform and improved use of avionics for polyline handling may result in smoother results in the future.

Today’s mission near Mont Blanc was a right joy to fly, with many procedure turns and holding patterns next to the peak!

Today we flew a disaster mapping mission over the Blatten area in Lötschental, employing the full sensor package.
The rockfall area is still active.

Stay tuned for first results.

I'd love to connect with anyone working in satellite remote sensing/earth observation! 🛰️🌏

I've started a list of everyone I've found so far - please let me know if you're missing from the list, or if there's anyone else I should add!

Happy to share that our latest paper was published in #IEEE #JSTARS: ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/10288…

We show how atmospheric, topographic, and directional (BRDF) effects, and their correction, influence airborne imaging spectroscopy data and derived products, like vegetation indices.
