Slight or moderate, occasionally rough. Showers. Good.
Yeah. My White Bicycle was originally by Tomorrow, whose members included Steve Howe (later of Yes) and the rather marvellous Twink.

I loved this when I were nobbut a wee nipper. It was many years before I found out it was a cover version. In fact, for a no-messin' hard rock band, Nazareth did some pretty good covers.

The Marriage of Figaro was the first opera I saw. As far as I recall, the dialogue was in English but the singing remained in Italian. Since I don't speak Italian, this suited me pretty well.

I learned how to ring a number without dialling, by tapping the hookswitch. This would get round phone locks. It was really pointless in my case, as dad was a telephone engineer and got free calls anyway.

Home sock? Do people now have different types of sock for specific locations? Work socks I can maybe understand, but having pub socks seems unnecessary. How specialised do these things get? Perhaps Santa will bring me some Visiting the Mother-in-Law Socks ahead of my planned visit next year.

You too!

Fine, thanks. It seems to have stopped raining for a while, so planning to get outdoors later on.

Absolutely. Online chat with a smutty oik apart, how are you today?

The first thing I saw there was a pair of knockers, even though they're handles, not knockers. The eyes were spotted later. Which probably tells you everything you need to know about my mindset. I blame all those Carry On films.

It certainly is. I had a fellah come to my place, who carefully set out his tools and equipment, then turned on his radio (loud), apparently oblivious to the fact that I was already playing my own choice of music.

Good morning, Andrew.

I'm assuming they have Radio Shite on at a deafening volume?

My dad used to claim that although he knew that hitting his thumb with a hammer was painful, from time-to-time he used to make sure his memory wasn't playing tricks on him by giving it a good belt.

Glad you're on the way back from the ME. My 'needing a wee' concerns are usually either a matter of immediate urgency, or retrospective.

Nice! They’re lucky that their mis-directed parcel came to such lovely people.
December 6, 2025 at 12:29 PM
Unpleasant, I presume. You weren’t so well earlier in the week - how are you doing now?

*waap waap waap* (comedy trumpet noise).

How’s you, Heather?
