After Starmer's press conference, seems to me we are heading for a (nuanced) EU-UK split - whereas Starmer refuses to even entertain any retailiation, the EU stresses unwillingness to be blackmailed and signals at least suspending EU-US trade deal, plus new tariffs and potentially threatening ACI
Really curious what the UK does.
The chasm between Londons efforts to pretend the special relationship still works on the one hand, and its support for Ukraine and the impetus to get closer to Europe on the other, widens.
But I can’t see the UK retaliating alongside Europe if it comes to that.
