I would like to think the reactionaries overplayed their hand so sloppily that we have some hope for a better Country after this.

It’s possible for two things to be true, and I believe they are:
1. Many terrible things have happened and will continue to, bc a razor-thin majority of voters chose an authoritarian racist.
2. The hoped-for authoritarian consolidation will almost surely fail, even if scars will be long-lasting.
