The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand
They've historically been ass TBF, but Davey knows ball and anyone left of center looks like a Troikist compared to Starmer these days. Most of my Labour uni mates are now LD or Greens, depending on their alignment

My genuine hope is that the backlash against ICE gets to a point where any Democratic hopeful in 2028 (Ossoff, Warnock, Gallego, Kelly etc) is DOA for voting Yes on this. You don't hate the Democratic leadership enough.

That was when he was trying his hardest to become some kind of "the CCP wants me dead" martyr?

No better way to illustrate how bad Twitter has gotten than watching this guy go from "light-hearted online character" to "committed racist and islamophobe" in the span of two years.

More terrible reporting by the Failing NYT, in which one of its culture "writers" uncritically reprints the grievances of avowed white nationalists, describes Fuentes as a "conservative figure", and quotes the Mussolini candidate for Florida Governor. Great job!

Congratulations to Senator-Elect Dan Osborn (I-NE) on his shocking upset in the 2026 midterms!

As in, too risky to pick up a fight against Espaillat, or too risky because Chevalier doesn't have the requisite chops? (asking as an Espaillat constitutent who would like to see him gone)

Hakeem Jeffries is too busy to vote "Yes" on funding Trump's war machine to murder more fishermen in the Caribbean to care about trivial matters like this.

Another Yes vote from Hakeem "Trump did great on the border" Jeffries lmao

Okay this might be it fam. Punishing management teams for over-investing is the first step to reducing capex. We'll see but potential that this report is the beginning of the end.

*ORACLE SEES ANNUAL CAPEX ABOUT $15 BILLION HIGHER THAN FORECAST
*ORACLE SHARES EXTEND DROP TO 10% ON HIGHER CAPEX VIEW

Govs. Shapiro and Cox warn of growing political violence, saying that the shooting of Charlie Kirk exposed a need for dialogue in the U.S. on how to discuss political differences.

The Trump administration has been far worse for immigrant rights than Biden's, who itself was already terrible. Two things can be true at once. Maybe you should read your own words before accusing me of muddying the waters!
December 9, 2025 at 9:29 PM
No I think there is due process in the U.S. Just not in immigration court. I'm merely, again, quoting you when you said that immigrants were given "due process" and "a day in court" under Obama and Biden. I take offence to that and I think I've made it pretty clear why. Has nothing to do with Trump.
December 9, 2025 at 9:27 PM
Yes, I agree Trump is worse - but I again wouldn't characterize the system under Biden and Obama as granting immigrants "a day in court" and "due process". The tools have been there all along: Trump didn't come up with "expedited removal" and "form addenda", he just expanded their usage.
December 9, 2025 at 9:09 PM
And sure, we can argue about semantics and what "due process" means like we're two old ConLaw scholars who never have to face the brutality of that system, but as someone who has: why pretend?
December 9, 2025 at 9:05 PM
The message to immigrants has been the same since Clinton - "stay out of the country, and if you don't, we'll rig the rules of the game to make sure you can't say". You can't have a "day in court" when the judges are Executive Branch officers who can be pressured and fired at will. Its nonsense.

Biden's DHS established a CFR rule that made migrants who entered "illegally" ineligible for asylum, purely to game numbers. The choice was: indefinitely stay in Mexico in dangerous conditions or cross the border and risk being deported without recourse, regardless of the merits of your case.
