This can only work as a government portal that is used to check/validate an ID. Any app on a phone can be cloned to make a look a like app that can display anything. I'm not holding my breath though given the quality of government IT projects.

I thought that required uptake depended on how contagious the disease is (i.e. the R rate) - can't quickly find anything to back that up though
