If the our government doesn’t do the same, Australian families will be left with massive insurance costs, while the fossil fuel corporates make $billions.

Support the @ausinstitutearchi.bsky.social Climate Disaster Levy on fossil fuel exports.

Global fossil fuel corporates like Woodside, Chevron, Glencore, Exxon and BHP are making Australia hotter, drier and wrecking your life.

Fully backed by our governments.

. @australianlabor.bsky.social is approving massive new fossil fuel projects like Woodside’s North West Shelf, making Australia hotter and ruining your life.

Oh… and it won’t stop at 50C

The Albanese Government’s constant justification for approving new gas projects is we need gas to “firm renewables.”

Well, good news… turn out we don’t!

So @australianlabor.bsky.social you can stop approving new gas projects.

If you think coal and gas corporates like Woodside, Chervron, INPEX and Glencore, who are fuelling these disasters should pay the costs…instead of YOU!

When Victoria burns again this week, understand a handful of global fossil fuel gas executives are getting very rich making Australia hotter, drier and more flammable

Time we made them pay

The Albanese Government has decided to risk Victoria's 90 Mile beach so foreign owned gas corporations can explore for gas.

It will be almost entirely FOR EXPORT and our Government will give them the gas FOR FREE.

More and more you can’t play outdoor sports without fear of heatstroke, you can’t go camping for fear of fires etc etc

Fossil fuel corporates like Santos are destroying everything we love about living in Australia…and laundering their image with sponsorships.

The Australian Government's own Gas Market Review finds Australians face gas shortages because that very same Australian Government allows multinational gas corporations to export 4X more gas than Australia uses every year.

Oh, and they give them most of it FOR FREE.

Woodside does.

Hey young Aussies.

The government wants rents and house prices to keep rising to keep the boomers and Xers who own multiple properties sweet.

You’re own your own, sorry.

Cut the public service and don’t tax the gas industry.

Good they’re clear about the priorities I guess…

Will the government really introduce a gas reservation scheme that won’t work to appease the gas industry?

"No other jurisdiction allows foreign companies to come in, write the rules, export the gas and give you nothing in return."

So instead of requiring gas exporters to supply gas to Australian manufacturers at reasonable prices, the cost would be transferred to taxpayers.

Let’s gas cartel keep price gouging Australians, and taxpayers foot the bill.

Really!?!

The gas industry’s charade is over.

Australians know we have plenty of gas and excessive exports are the problem.

72% of Australians realise cutting exports is the way bring down energy bills, and just 28% think we need new gas fields.

Western Australians are facing “gas shortages” within 5 years, despite 90% of WAs gas being exported!

Woodside have supplied just 3% of Pluto gas to the domestic market.

The WA government always puts the interests of Big Gas ahead of Western Australians.

Look at what governments do, not what they say.

Labor is sweet talking about phasing out fossil fuels, while approving massive new fossil fuel export projects all over Australia.

Did you know gas exports not only drive your gas bills, but your electricity bills also?

Even though gas is only 5% of electricity in the National Electricity Market (NEM), it sets the electricity price because gas is so expensive.

Did you know, the QLD Government says coal seam gas fields on agricultural land in QLD can cause groundwater levels to drop by up to 500m?

What an awful industry.

The gas “crisis” is “not because we don’t have enough gas, but because the gas that comes from beneath Australian soil is prioritised for customers offshore rather than customers onshore”.

Spot on.

Honestly, it would be absurd for Australia to host COP31.

Australia has 3X per capita emissions of Turkey, is a massive fossil fuel exporter and just approved a 50-year extension of Woodside’s North Shelf, one of the worst fossil fuel exports projects in the world.

www.afr.com/politics/fed...
November 17, 2025 at 8:21 PM
Meanwhile Australia opens massive new fossil fuel export projects with vastly more emissions than all the pacific states combined.

Australia is an out-of-contol petrostate, drowning its Pacific neighbours, and should not be allowed to host COP31.
