"Political violence" is something bad that happens between political factions in a democracy. Fascism is not a political faction in a democracy. Fascism undermines the very notion of democracy. Fascists have abdicated any claim to political civility, which they only ever claim for themselves anyway.

Congestive heart failure, I'd say (not an MD). Edema in the ankles. Bruising on the back of one hand - frequent IV diuretics? The heavy diuretics alone could be responsible for chronic kidney disease. His slipping in and out of abject, inarticulate confusion would then suggest renal encephalopathy.
