The most frustrating thing about this war is that the US could step in forcefully now with harsh sanctions against Russia and a large military package for Ukraine with ranged weapons as the centrepiece, and the war would end soon with a Russian defeat.

Agree. I wish these people would look at the data, if that's what floats their boat. Courses like maths and biology don't perform better that art history or English. And why not make it possible to do STEM AND arts/hums? (I did).

Kemi Badenoch blames those crossing borders for our problems. It’s a lie aimed to distract.

The real issue is a system protecting the super-rich while nurses & carers can’t make ends meet. Tax wealth fairly, fund public services properly. This is how we give Britain hope again.

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Our problem isn't a lack of resources.

Our problem is ever-expanding inequality.

One of the lessons I discuss in "On Tyranny":
Listen for dangerous words.
Text card: Listen for dangerous words.
Be alert to the use of the words extremism and terrorism. Be alive to the fatal notions of emergency and exception. Be angry about the treacherous use of patriotic vocabulary.

Happily, Badenoch seems to be doing a grand job making herself irrelevant

Kemi Badenoch asked where she would send the 150,000 people she says she would deport every year, replies that it's an "irrelevant question".

When people start doubting that Trump actually wants to work with dictators, they might ask themselves why the two states he is working hard to limit military sales to are Taiwan and Ukraine.

We flounced out of the EU on the say-so of politicians who lied to us. And what a total shitshow that’s turned out to be. The polar opposite of what they promised. Now the call to flounce out of the ECHR. By the same people. Telling the same lies. Has the country been kicked in the head by a horse?

On reports the Tories will back leaving the ECHR, Lib Dem Leader Ed Davey:

“Kemi Badenoch has chosen to back Nigel Farage and join Vladimir Putin by leaving the European Convention on Human Rights – a proud British creation championed by Churchill that protects everyone's rights and freedoms."

The UK has arrested 1,775 people for protesting against genocide since the proscription of Palestine Action.

The UK has not arrested a single person since October 7 for their participation in that genocide.
