No better example than the Super Bowl to see how shitty TV advertising has become. Mostly horrible, forgettable bullshit commercials. A collection of celebrities does not sell anything. A music video is not a commercial. Most of the humor sucks. That's what advertising's "digital age" has given us.

It's not like I don't check in on Bluesky at least once a day. Why the hell am I seeing post from 7-9 days ago? Yesterday's news, yesterday's sports results. C'mon!

YouTube is a mess of fake AI Crap. Whether it's an AI-generated Michio Kaku telling me aliens are real, or a fake Rachael Madow's voice saying things she never said, I can't believe YT is allowing this mass appropriation of peoples' voice and imagery to deceive people who don't know better.

The Wall Street Journal just spelled out that Trump’s ❝peace❞ play on Ukraine is basically ❝cash in with the Kremlin so our boys get rich❞ — and the internet is watching his insiders drool over rare-earth and energy deals, not Ukrainian sovereignty. 💰☮️🤝🇷🇺

I knew it wouldn't be long before someone started whining about how Ken Burns’ American Revolution is "woke." I guess because they spent some time explaining how black slaves were stuck between a rock/hard place, Native Americans were expendable pawns for the British and women were mostly ignored.

Browns play calling has not improved with Stefanski giving up the job, and looks especially bad now with Sanders in the game. With no downfield threat, Ravens can just stack the box and stuff the run now...especially if O-line doesn't sustain their blocks though the whistle.

That muffed UCLA punt reminded me of a play in 8th grade CYO ball - one of our kids broke through the line and the punter kicked it right into his gut, just like tonight. Difference was, our kid was able to get his arms around it and run it into the end zone. 🤣😂🤣

Was trying to set up a separate account for my publishing work - the sign up process suggests dozens and dozens of people to follow (even with "follow all" links) - so I follow about 18 folks...next thing I know, the new account is suspended for BULK FOLLOWING? Didn't even have a chance to post!

When November comes, everyone thinks about the Edmund Fitzgerald - but I find the story of the Great Lakes Storm of 1913 even more interesting, and it was certainly more devastating. Lots of good books about it, this one is a great place to start, sitting by a fire with a nice mug of Porter.

Seems like many of the AI vibe-coding app tools have a tough time if you ask them to use external sources for any data. Google Gemini couldn't even retrieve proper book titles using a verified ISBN, even though the correct titles were immediately found via Google search. Seems so simple...

Browns offense is just incapable of solid execution. Other than tight ends, worst receiving corps in the league. Can’t get open, can’t compete for 50/50 balls…ugh. O-Tackles can’t sustain blocks long enough to make anything happen. Trick plays suck, as do these useless sideline throws.

Believe me, if there was truly anything extraterrestrial about A1/Atlas and NASA told Trump about it, it would immediately be all over the news as a last-ditch effort to distract from The Epstein Files.

I don't get so many emails from LinkedIn anymore, but I logged in to check on my profile and update it to the extent that I identify as RETIRED. I'm expecting that will make strangers less likely to seek connections, as I've left my career behind and am into other [new and interesting] things now.

If trading Flacco to Cincinnati for a 5th round pick wasn't bad enough, the Browns decided they had to sweeten the deal by throwing in a 6th round pick as well.

I keep thinking of Diane Keaton in LOOKING FOR MR. GOODBAR because it felt so different from most of the characters she played.

This AppleTV show SMOKE is really good. All the acting is good, but the character of Freddy is incredible. That performance is incredible - and heartbreaking.

Another early 20th century landmark may fall in Akron; the original Firestone Tire plant, built in 1912, may be subject to demolition. The city's Historic Preservation commission approved a city request to raze just the rear portion of the structure. Now the city wants it all.

Even if Trump never faces criminal charges, I hope after he leaves office that the next administration will make him reimburse the US Government a few billion dollars for using it to line his own and his family's pockets for four years.

Had fun rebuilding this 20+ year old Sony VAIO PC…it had a Pentium 4 in it. New MB, Ryzen 5, 8GB Radion graphics, 32GB RAM and 2TB of storage will replace the aging HP i3 I’ve been using the past few years. I don’t do gaming; just print graphics/design and some 1080p video work. Still looks modern.
