I think ads used to try to lure or entice customers but now it’s mostly just a loud statement that this is the product that exists and we just wanted to make sure you don’t forget it.

This is every DOGE saving measure right now. Doesn’t matter if it’s a pointless 50k or 50b saving. Doesn’t matter if it’s something that’s arguably a good use of money or a clearly wasteful expenditure. It all gets lost in an already full swimming pool of billionaire wealth.

Will it pay off the national debt or close the budget deficit? Like scooping a glass of water out of a swimming pool. Also, no.

It will go towards lowering taxes for the very wealthiest. In a way that probably won’t affect their lives or the economy nearly as much as adding a VA nurse’s job would.

Had a conversation with someone about our favorite Bowie song just yesterday and it just spiraled into me naming dozens of his songs until the other person tuned out. Heroes was mentioned.
