Since 2019, the world has added 215% new solar generation capacity. During that time we also added 6% and 11% more coal and methane generating capacity as well though.

We now have to start decommissioning that fossil fuel generation capacity faster if we want to limit warming to less than 2 degrees

Once again, Trump recognizes an actual problem and comes up with a "solution" that will make it worse. Enough already.

“[T]he data say pretty much the opposite” of Trump & Secretary Wright’s claims.
Among the 22 states that drew higher-than-average shares of their power from wind and solar, 17 had below-average electricity prices in June, according to EIA data.

I should add that this is not, at least on parchment, an insoluble problem. The Constitution provides a solution to the abuse of Presidential authority: impeachment and removal.

If she offered to compromise before the vote on the continuing resolution I might take that as a good sign but this doesn’t sound like that

Governor Newsom has a bill on his desk to hold utilities accountable, and get them to stop passing along their dark money campaigns to everyday Californians.

Is he going to side with utilities, or side with the public and help lower electricity rates?
