The new show was so good that I just finished re-reading The Hedge Knight this morning. More Chaucer than Malory, and all the better for it.

I'm Mark O. Stack, and I write comics about people in fantastic situations processing real emotions.

My first middle grade OGN, Travis Muñoz and the Fire of the Aztecs, comes out 4/28. I am putting together proposals for more MG and YA work!

Young Offenders! and The Relentless Lark are my two cape comics series now collected in nice paperbacks.

YO! follows a group of alienated screw-ups stepping to fill the void left behind when the world's heroes disappear.

And The Lark is about how being a daughter is harder than being a superhero.

Scott Snyder called The Scent of May Rain, "A stirring and exquisite call for a better tomorrow."

And Christopher Sebela called MADNESS, "A book that makes you ponder, laugh, and occasionally sing along..."

If you haven't yet, you can see what the fuss is about.

Hardman is the most obvious "back up a truck, make him exclusive, let him do whatever" talent out there for DC. This one has a verve to it, a hum, that is going to make the whole thing a perennial paperback.

Ten pages from the end, the narrator intrudes so forcefully upon the reader's experience that it rendered every page prior to it wasted effort.
