Nationals have announced the hiring of Jason Sinnarajah as president of business operations, a new position at the same level of president of baseball operations Paul Toboni. Was previously Royals’ COO and Bills’ senior VP of business administration.

2nd round pick in 2007 from tiny WI town became 2-time All-Star, going 70-50 with 3.32 ERA, 1.159 WHIP in 178 starts. Threw 1st no-hitter in club history. Signed $110 million deal with DET but couldn’t stay healthy. Career: 95-91, 4.07 ERA.

Cy Young finalist with Yankees was limited to 21 games (16 starts) over 3 years due to injuries, going 6-6 with 4.94 ERA, 1.532 WHIP. Taiwan native was two-time 19-game winner in NY but famously gave up Ryan Zimmerman’s first walk-off homer.
