Though there is no robust scientific literature on the effect of stuffed animals on adult sleep, several studies have shown that plush companions can help adults self-soothe. nyti.ms/4owotLv

I cannot believe we still have to listen to this shit in 2025
Charlie Kirk tells a 14 year old high school freshman that she should only go to college to get an “MRS degree.”

An “MRS degree” is the idea that a woman attends college primarily to find a husband, rather than pursue academic or career goals.

Misogynistic men are a cancer to society.

Illinois has enshrined protections to meet this very moment.

In a time of increasing overreach and hateful rhetoric, it's more important than ever to reaffirm our commitment to the rights and dignity of the LGBTQ+ community.

You have a home here always.

Says a person who has never gone grocery shopping
Trump to UAE president: "We have a term 'groceries.' It's an old term but it means basically what you're buying, food, it's a pretty accurate term but it's an old fashioned sound but groceries are down."

Happening everywhere: older Americans are coming out to rallies and marches more than anyone. They know what freedom means, don't take it for granted, and want to save their kids & grandkids from tyranny. Civics education for generations X, Millennial, and Z has been an utter failure.
Good morning Foxy and Friends. Great rally yesterday. About 300 people in a red/purple district and almost all over 65 years old, and in 90 degree heat. Another rally tomorrow an hour away. Let’s go blue! 💙💙💙

I am dismayed that the Court is doing this on such an expedited basis and without the opportunity for full amicus briefing. (There were some amicus briefs filed in support of the Government, but only two in support of the plaintiffs.) The issue of universal injunctions is not new.
JUST IN: #SCOTUS agrees to Trump administration request to delve into power of district court judges to grant nationwide injunctions. Unusual oral arguments set May 15, about 2 weeks after args were to end for term. Doc: www.supremecourt.gov/orders/court... Earlier: www.politico.com/news/2025/03...

A strong and principled response by WilmerHale to the illegal Executive Order attack - a form of attempted government intimidation declared unconstitutional by a federal judge.
