All in all, I spent like 10 minutes trying to word the first post more or less well within the character limit, but clearly failed, and tbf I should make this account like 99% shitposting for my own sake.

It's kind of unwise to assume that I "made things up," but I admit that my wording could've been interpreted as me defending genAI.

So clarifying: I'm not.

And I say what I observe and make a point to say that I might be wrong. If I am, then thank god.

The person didn't know me so might as well make it clear that I'm no troll, I just kind of come from a certain angle that is very common in the global south but not as much in the global north where i live now, and that is unfortunately my line of work.

To me, realizing what's NOT being said seems like yet another sign that the so-called global north game world is unwilling or unable to acknowledge the loss of their privilege to technology, specialized workforce, and investment to "unknown" players and markets at a fast rate.

Maybe my sources were wrong, mistaken, or are outdated now. I'm not putting my hand into the fire for it. But it caught my attention as I didn't personally see any takes coming from/referring to companies that are doing the best in the current climate (F2P and gacha Asian AA companies).
