Thinking about the times I visited Ibero-Brazilian Catholic churches with non-Catholics completely nonchalant and they "wait are those *real bones* inside that crystal case?" and "why the FUCK are there WOODEN LEGS HANGING from that chapel??" and I remembered that Catholicism is SO gruesome.

I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.

wrote 20 pages on Faulkner's The Bear four hours before final papers were due on trucker pills and coffee and cigarettes and got an A, fuck you.
You people couldn't hang with real slackers.

told an Scandinavian friend who I haven't talked to for over a year that I just up and left the US when the grad student deportations started and I love that I made that impression on her.

#Blender 's SimpleDeform modifier works along the Local Z+ axis. I couldn't find this fact in any of the documentation. So if you're trying to deform stuff and it looks weird, rotate the origin so that its Z+ is along the major axis, then choose the deform axis after.
