It was an honour to plant a cross in Parliament's Constituency Garden of Remembrance. We remember and honour the courage and sacrifice of the brave men and women of #Battersea who have served in our Armed Forces, past and present.

This is no surprise!

Before Dr Daniels’ report,  we had the Scarman report, the Macpherson Inquiry, the IPCC review, the HMIC Stop & Search Report, the Lammy Review, and the Casey Review.
This has to be a watershed moment.

I was delighted to celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth by hosting the Black Heroes Foundation charity in Parliament.

They do fantastic work in raising awareness of Black heroes from many different spheres of life. It was wonderful to hear about inspiring leaders, with beautiful creative performances too.

@bsky.app This month has been an important one for women in the Church of England - including for #Battersea's St Mary's Church.

It was great to attend the institution and induction of the Reverend Erin Clark, who takes over from the Reverend Stephen & inherits a lovely community.

The Access to Work Scheme is the best form of employment support for blind and partially sighted people.

Worryingly, following case reviews, many are having their support significantly reduced. It is vital people living with sight loss are kept at the right level.

My Q to the Minister

The Renters Rights Act is making renting safer, more secure & reliable for all.

Here's what it means for you:

What a lovely treat to return to my alma mater LSBU to meet some of their brilliant law students & professors.

Having an inclusive learning environment allowed me to thrive - it’s critical we keep breaking down barriers to opportunity for students today too.

Recent attacks on places of worship, including the horrific attack on the Manchester synagogue, show the threat of hate & intolerance to our communities.

The Church's interfaith leaders are working hard to strengthen community relations & I give my great thanks to them.
