Don’t panic, that’s what actuaries at insurance firms are for.
And they are freaking out.
Financially incentivized & legally obligated to be objective, the UK Society of Actuaries has this to say: bfi.us17.list-manage.com/track/click?... via Buckminster Fuller Institute

Imagine that: British education from 1945-1965 reoriented state education “around principles of equality and social justice rather than meritocracy and social mobility…” Amazing! After a major report finding a majority suffering “squalor, want, ignorance, idleness & disease”

Canadian anti-net-zero organization using a Custom GPT to pump out tons of "reasonable" sounding letters to city counselors. Awful, but predictable. What can be done? For one thing, ChatGPT will tell you it's inaccurate

I don't know, I tossed the screenshot into ChatGPT and just said "evaluate these claims" and it tore them apart, so perhaps this is a new addition to media literacy that's required. chatgpt.com/share/683799...

Why is Hollywood where the movies got made? I just learned that a major factor was that Thomas Edison aggressively pushed law enforcement of his film tech patents & expensive, controlling licenses. So outlaw film makers liked Hollywood because they could hide from the cops in Mexico when needed!

I'm not the one who said "dagger through the heart!" That was the head of the EPA.
I asked ChatGPT to illustrate the relationship between the new head of the EPA & a community of faith leaders responding to him today. I think it has a certain hopefulness to it. www.earthcatalyst.co/post/communi...

Woke up thinking about my socialized tendency to play nice, even if boring. Now seems like the time for at *least* being pretty damn assertive. Freaking out won’t help, but it would be a fair reaction.
