I literally had to ask ChatGPt what that car driver was likely thinking, because I cannot imagine. It thought most likely: “it’s just for a second, it’s no big deal.” Or that bike lanes are so unfamiliar to them they hadn’t internalized their meaning, thought it an unused strip of road. Aaaaaargh!!!
