The inquest report into Stewart's death has not yet been released on the MB court website, though at least part of the inquest was held in April of last year, per CBC reporting.

Eishia was one of three Indigenous people fatally shot by Winnipeg Police Service officers over ten days in April, 2020. The others were Jason Collins, 36, and Stewart Andrews, 22. The inquest into Jason's death, concluded last year, made no recommendations.

I can't say I have good answers for those good questions, but my understanding is that the blocking, at the very least, hasn't triggered any reduction in engagement for FB/Instagram, so for Meta there hasn't been any downside to doing it.
