A cheesy question now. How does the F-35 manage to achieve sufficient air compression at Mach 2.0 with the elegant but boring diverterless supersonic inlets (DSI)? Is the inlet volume expanding very much behind the cabin to compensate?

It did fly already and managed to de-orbit something in approximately 2 years.
