Remember it’s called “Portfolio” day and a portfolio is about you at your best not what’s new. Too often I see artists sad they got nothing new to show and you need to stop that mindset. It’s your best showing what you’re capable of and that never ages. Good work get framed and put on display.

Penguins learn to swim, but aren't very good at it at first. I photographed this trio of juveniles at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. They were having a marvelous time in the water, but kept bumping into each other, splashing, and bobbing back up to the surface when they tried to dive–It was fun to see.
