Why do I find this oddly comforting?
I find it profoundly funny that people are pretending that "Elaborate schemes of fraud involving fake securities attached to a non-existent asset" were invented in 2021 and that the Founding Fathers of America wouldn't instantly grasp them with "Oh, it be like the South Sea Company scheme!"

Bluesky doesn’t really have a mascot, you know how Twitter had the bird? We can’t just have the sky. Our mascot should be Paul Giamatti because he’s grumpy, not too widely known, and he probably has the correct opinion about a lot of things but expresses them in an abrasive way.

it’s interesting to me that his spiral accelerated in pace with driving normal users off twitter, filling his timeline almost exclusively with weirdo simps who tell him how brilliant he is. he got exactly what he thought he wanted and turns out it tastes like sawdust and tears
If he wasn't a powerful and litigious white supremacist, what Elon's going through would be deeply sad. He clearly has a bottomless need for approval, has been used to getting it for years and is now destroying his life to seek it out from the dwindling number of losers willing to give it to him.
