Post election “grassroots”moments…I’m having conversations with the crows. I’ve stepped away from the fraught world politics, this holiday season. Farm tasks, the daily routine of my rural haven is a balm for my soul. Wishing all here on bluesky, a measure of peace, light & blessings this season.

Winter along my coastal North Carolina farm…conversations with crows are most raucous in winter. Their voices echo across the fields as they approach, flying in for the abundant pecan nut harvest.The tracery of the pecan boughs and branches are etched in the sky, with the crows in silhouette.

Thank you for your high compliments. Keep building your soil with compost. I load up my beds in winter…bout now through February. Your homegrown seedlings are golden, or seek out seedlings from organic farmers who grow them. If I can do it, you can too. I’m here to help and inspire. My best, Marthe
