When I was a small (admittedly strange) child, I went through a phase where I quite enjoyed toothpaste sandwiches 🤷

The new houses are almost complete now aren't they. Both of these photos are from a while back.

The Arrowe Park Hotel ..... I'd better tell them - they'll be made up 😜

Is a pub that sells food a caff? 🤔

I am more of a Prenton coffee shop customer these days 🫣
a man is pouring coffee into a french press in a kitchen with the words `` which was nice '' above him .

This used to confuse me terribly but I think I've got it now:

1st Hampden - the bowling club
2nd Hampden - Cathkin Park ( the remnants of the terracing remain present, now in a public park)
3rd Hampden - present site

I've only been to Hampden Park once - Rangers v Aberdeen, 1987 League Cup Final.

One of the best days of my life 🏆😃

I like to surgically remove the fish, eat that with a bit of brown sauce, then make a butty out of the breadcrumb coatings 🤩

Coldest I've ever been at a football match was on the massive open end at Burnden Park, before they built the Normid, for an FA Cup replay. Went to extra time too, before you beat us 4-1. 1983 ish iirc 🤔🥶

Batter is great on fish or fishcakes, but on fish fingers, breadcrumbs are elite! 👍

Anyway, I may pop out to the coffee shop, late morning tomorrow, for some 'brinner' 👍😁

What was the point of taking a kwik save bag with no buttys in it? 😉

We had old leather caseys in junior school, where the coating of the leather had eroded away years before.

They soaked up any moisture and it felt like heading a medicine ball, even worse if you caught the laces.

Seemed normal at the time, but absolutely ridiculous in hindsight 🤷

My mental health walking can be prioritized another day, but I'm not going out in that cold! 🥶😁

That sounds like an entirely different sort of establishment 👀

I remember when Chelsea constructed that massive mainstand in the 1970s, it was built to incorporate warm air being circulated around the footwells, although I don't think it was ever installed?

Do you have any form of heating in the stands at the HD, or is it a thermal socks kind of night?

The angst sounds all too familiar, very similar to The Rovers 😬😣

I've very much restricted my interaction with the outdoors today. I wasn't expecting it to be nearly as cold as it proved to be, when I opened the front door this morning 🥶

I thought with having loads of weight on at the moment I wouldn't feel the cold this winter, but I seem to have turned nesh 🫣
January 26, 2026 at 3:49 PM
What drama is going on at the football club? 🤔
January 26, 2026 at 3:42 PM
Michael Bentine's Potty Time was the first TV programme I ever watched in colour.

Ceausescu struck me as more of a black and white kind of guy.

Do you think the Class of 92 will give credit where credit's due, or are they so invested in criticizing that they've boxed themselves into a corner?
