I call on my party and my government to remove themselves entirely from X and communicate with the public where they actually participate online and can be protected from such illegality.

I think the reversion to SV is in the England and Wales Devolution Bill (something like that) and it’s still working its way through parliament. Whether or not there’s some statutory instrument route to make the change for existing mayoral elections in the meantime, I don’t know.

Not sure if having the election under FPTP makes a Labour win more or less likely.

(I thought the government would have prioritised undoing the Tory Elections Act in time for the 2026 locals, but apparently they haven’t)
