I love going to horse shows as a spectator, but the thing is I want to tell everyone their horse is a cutie pie and I can't anticipate whether any given equestrian sees their horse as a Very Serious Athlete or just a little guy

isn't it weird how the people who are categorically distrustful of politicians and harped for years about how the government is deeply corrupt... suddenly love the guy who is blatantly corrupt and untrustworthy.

isn't it weird how the people who are categorically distrustful of politicians and harped for years about how the government is deeply corrupt... suddenly love the guy who is blatantly corrupt and untrustworthy.

I think MAGA honestly believes economics is like a secret CIA-level operation and not a scientific field. Econ can be exploratory but it's not like, some unknowable concept. These aren't like war plans with a secret strategy. We can all see the effects.

I've been harping that we should keep creating art for a future world where art matters again.
Which isn't meritless, but I'm starting to think that's the wrong approach. Art matters MOST in times of chaos and calamity. There isn't a future world. The shape of the road is the road.

All I keep thinking about is how Pete Hegseth raised questions of the competency of a Black four-star general and Air Force fighter pilot who was the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Hegseth asked did he get the job “because of his skin color? Or his skill? We’ll never know, but always doubt.”
