I can’t even begin to understand that couple, and I don’t want to try. These are people who don’t deserve any contact with their children. If there are ever grandchildren, I can’t imagine how the son or the daughter would want those monsters to have any influence whatsoever.

And to follow up from my earlier reply, throwing a vulnerable group under the bus because they’re being scapegoated by bigots is a non-starter for me.

The fact that we didn’t and shouldn’t throw trans people under the bus is a good thing, not a liability. Republicans don’t retreat from their beliefs, and we shouldn’t either. Why should people believe in our principles if we’re too cowardly to voice them?

Harris never mentioned trans people in her campaign, and people act like what you said was her slogan. She campaigned on making home ownership affordable and expanding the social safety net.

He voted for Hillary and was vocal about the fact that he was going to vote Democratic regardless of who the nominee was going back to 2015 when Trump announced.

Except that pigs are sensitive and highly intelligent, so it doesn’t fit. I prefer reptile or more specifically, rattlesnake.

When TCM shows It Happened on Fifth Avenue, DVR it if you can. I had never even heard of it until a few years ago, and now it’s a must-watch for me. Also: Christmas in Connecticut (the original), Bell Book and Candle, The Thin Man, and originals of the The Bishop’s Wife and Miracle on 34th Street.

If only.

My only problem is that I want more than six episodes - although maybe one reason it’s so wonderful is that they’re able to focus on quality over quantity.

How wonderful!

These are people who deserve to have their children cut off all contact.
November 28, 2025 at 4:40 PM
Those parents are monsters. Truly. I pity the son and daughter.

It was great, thanks!

Thank you for helping to save my sanity and bringing joy this year, Darth. Enjoy your hibernation.

There’s also a great episode of Newhart, the show about the inn in Vermont, in which Newhart’s character invites 100 people over for Thanksgiving without consulting his wife.
