This is very encouraging.
Maia Sandu is amazing.

Trying hard to moderate my Maia Sandu fangirling right now, but I gotta stress she's accomplished something no EEuropean reformist ever has: brought a fugitive oligarch back to face justice AND fended off massive Ru interference to win a referendum and two re-elections (parliamentary+presidential)!

I want you to understand this is happening in our name and we know most of these men committed no crimes. One is a professional soccer player who was tortured in Venezuela and was working through asylum in the U.S. ICE shipped him for his Real Madrid tattoo and a picture throwing rock & roll horns.

Every Republican screaming for judges to be impeached because they are blocking Trump's illegal power grab were awfully quiet when we learned about billionaires handing out gifts and vacations to SCOTUS justices — who then ruled on cases despite major conflicts of interest.

Musk in Die Welt
It did not take long for Eva Marie Kogel, the opinion editor at Die Welt, Germany’s paper of record, to decide what the right thing for her to do was.

This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office.
2) Elected officials rewrite the rules in the donors' favor.
3) Donors make a huge profit.
4) Repeat.

For the sake of democracy, we must get Big Money out of politics.

Dear Dems. This is a reminder that Donald Trump rescinded the ethics rules preventing gifts to executive branch employees.

Now would be a good time to propose legislation formalizing the prevention into a law

Time to do things that make him react to you.

JD Vance in Munich is like the intern who gets invited to a conference where he tries to dominate a conversation with actual experts on a topic because he once read an article on it for a class assignment.

NEW: My office is hearing that DOGE is now at the IRS. That means Musk's henchmen are in a position to dig through a trove of data about every taxpayer in America. And if your refund is delayed, they could very well be the reason.

media loves to cast it as a "government spending cuts" story because they cannot get off a single narrative about what one party favors (small government) versus the other (big government) and boy, are they getting this story completely fucking wrong
