Moreso, the hypocrisy that triggers me the most is that for russia to murder Ukrainians on a daily basis is considered ok, a new norm. But for Ukraine to get the capacity to defend itself and strike back is feared as a route to "escalation". This is BATSHIT CRAZY.

#A-Haydn-A-Day keeps the doctor away day 4 and Symphony 84 In nomine Domini. Despite being the 3rd of the Paris symphonies it is actually one of the last of the six to be completed. I love the sometimes prominent wind writing in this symphony. My choice of recording is Bernstein - a great Haydnist.

I think about this quote from Duke Ellington at least once a day, and it appears in the opening pages of my dissertation. I love it because it’s so easy to forget the love for science in between all the pipetting, but at the end of the day, science, art, music—it’s all dreaming. 🧪

This resonates so much with me. This is how many of us feel. I wish more non-Ukrainians could understand it

The most important thing in writing is to finish. A finished thing can be fixed. A finished thing can be published. A finished thing can be made into a movie.

An unfinished thing is just a dream. And dreams fade if you don't hold on tight enough.

So finish the thing.
