Hey everyone! I'm the person behind the signage you might have seen during the REM opening in Montreal. Excited to share more of my projects here, whether it’s signage, urban planning, or all things transit!

Most North American cities: we should allow cars to overtake buses at stops at any cost. Traffic MUST FLOW!

Great transit cities: we should systematically prevent cars from overtaking stopped buses with median curbs because it's a hazard for alighting passengers and it delays buses.

Long term, I would really like a north busway along Émilie-Duploye, that would be similar to the original tram that once traveled through the park. The 45 currently gets stuck in a lot of traffic on de Lorimier, this would speed it up a lot!
What is now Émile-Duploye in La Fontaine Park from 1894, with the tram on true left, and young trees on the right, and group of kids in the centre Cambridgeshire Guided Busway, with grass in the middle of the track, and a green bus travelling along it.

It’s curious the bus stops added, as well as further up along the street by La Fontaine Park. Some workers told me they support articulated buses, but it doesn’t seem like there’s any planned bus routes here?

#polmtl

This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source.

Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

They might’ve confused my signs with the official ones, as some of those have been removed as well
Pillar that once had signs pointing to metro, buses, street, REM and exo trains Pillar of outline removed sign that once had exo trains, REM and more
mashdash.bsky.social
I have received word that the signs were taken down by Cominar, the REIT private owners of Gare Centrale
mashdash.bsky.social
All of the signs have been removed at Gare Centrale, not by me.
Blank tile where my sign was beside flower store False door with outline of torn off Velcro of my sign no longer there Pillar beside bakery with outline of tape residue on tile of the place of my signs Vacant store with vague outline for the outline of the Velcro once holding my signs, no longer there

Gare Centrale’s signage is a mess: still says AMT (it’s exo now), no signs for REM or exo from outside, a single bad sign to the métro, and nothing to help navigate the RÉSO. So I fixed it—installed 7 signs myself. They’ve been up 3 months, and Cominar hasn’t noticed. www.lapresse.ca/actualites/g...
Large plastic placed on false door, pointing to the left to Gare Centrale with connections (REM, exo train, VIA, Amtrak, Métro, and Terminus Centre-ville) and outside to the right, to the hotel, and connecting buses Small sign pointing down to the left towards an escalator, to Gare Centrale, with connecting trains and bus services Large sign on tiled pillar, pointing to Place Ville Marie, Eaton Centre and connecting buses and local streets Detailed sign pointing to Gare Centrale, and trains such as the REM, exo Train, and Train Interubrain, each wth the names as services under each. Additional connections to the Métro, and Terminus Centre-Ville with bus agencies like RTL, exo and SJSR.

Décarie Square has been around since 1977 and hasn’t been updated since, so I think Royalmount will probably survive for at least 60 years, even if the market is pretty small
mashdash.bsky.social
I hope the city adds these to way more streets, and in black to blend better with the plastic ones
