I used 2 look at some of the buildings in Melb +shudder at what workers had 2do 2build them and the number who didn't get 2go home or lived with horrible injuries on sod all $s.

There's photos around of guys on beams suspended on crane lines riding them 2the required point of the building wearing cardigans +dress shoes- heart stopping stuff.
These days safety infractions literally shut down building sites- some of them seem frivolous but the largely workers live uninjured

The work I did required getting on ppl's roof's 4 some jobs, but that was done with safety gear ect but those ppl r on a beam with none of that safety gear.
