Our Leading by Example team shared the latest on fleet EV charging at the Office of Vehicle Management’s Annual Fleet Day.

Our team was revved up to “ride and drive” new EVs and see DOER-funded charging stations out in the world at MassWildlife.

Tip #11: Did you know you can save energy with your home appliances? Unplug electronics when not in use or use a smart power strip, clean your dryer filter regularly, or turn off the drying cycle on your dishwasher – open the door to air dry instead!

☀️We had fun celebrating two new solar canopies in Harwich and New Bedford with @massdot.bsky.social‬ and Harwich officials. Both canopies were producing energy, despite the clouds. Together, the canopies will save taxpayers more than $750,000 in energy costs over their lifetime.

Our Leading by Example team recently visited UMass Amherst to learn about a cutting-edge clean energy project–a new ground source heat pump and 2.3 million gallon renewable thermal storage tank (pictured) will heat and cool 140,000+ square feet at campus buildings.

Solar is vital to our electric grid’s reliability, lowers costs for all ratepayers, and reduces air pollution. On hot sunny days, solar cuts total demand and helps the grid when it’s needed most.
