I make whole animation maps for Cole and enemy ideas I have that I sketch in my mini sketchbooks and compile together, before I even get to the pixel art.
Pencil sketches of Blackmask gameplay ideas for the anthropomorphic player character Cole, Rolling Counter Attack. Top two sketches show a sequence where Cole stands with his sword, then rolls backward on button press. Middle sequence indicate that at the last roll from, player must press the Attack button for Cole to begin a sword thrust attack animation. Bottom sequence, details how a forward roll attack would animate, with Cole standing with his sword then rolls forward on button press, until the final frame of the animation, player presses Attack button for a larger sword attack.

Thanks, I was experimenting with a toonker style I've been seeing from children's book art. I couldn't pick between adding tits or not. I'll work with some more as I mess around.

My New Year's Resolution, is to stop caring as much about my clout and focus on finishing more stuff. I ruined my art and life by this internet crap and all it's done is make me feel envious against others and violently self-hating about my work.
