1) SHMA Godzilla (2000) - I can not stop messing with him. This is the poseable Godzilla toy I never knew I needed. Any pose you can think of he can get into and he just oozes personality.

3) SHMA Mecha-Gigantron - Now we’re getting tough. A few floppy bits and loose wings are the only thing holding this back from a higher. It was a huge surprise to me how amazing this figure looks and how much poseability that gave it.

4) SHMA Ultraman Dyna - is it the character or the toy? As an actual figure, Dyna isn’t that much different from most the other Ultramen, but because I love his character so much, he’s just shines for me.

5) Age of Primes Sky-Byte - Whos the baddest shark around? Sky-Byte, thats me! That this toy exists and that its as good as it is is mindblowing to me. I cant believe we have a truly awesome Sky-Byte figure.

6) NECA Earl and Baby Sinclair - This is two figures but Im counting them as one. They look so perfectly like the show and come with so many fun accessories that it’s just impossible to not love these Dinosaurs.

7) Studio Series Megatron - ALL HAIL MEGATRON! I think this is my favorite Megatron toy I’ve owned. I’ve never been the biggest fan of the G1 Gun design but this is perfect.

8 ) Black Series SM33 - I still can’t say I’ve heard of no At Attin. Fantastic figure that captures everything I loved about this pirate droid in this vastly underrated show.

9) SHMA Anguirus - I still cant believe he’s this low. He was my most anticipated and he’s everything I could have hoped for but he’s just not quite as fun as the rest.

10) Shuma Gorath - A few stiff bendy wires put him toward the bottom but he’s such a great and fun figure full of personality that he’s got to be on the list.

Dagon here is standing in for all the minis I’ve painted. While I don’t consider them figures, they have brought me countless hours of relief and joy.

MGS is putting out more of my favorite ships, including the Pod Racers (Gasgano my boy!) and the much anticipated Tie Defender. Over in articulated land SM33 is perhaps the best Black Series figure I own full of character and fun gimmicks while K2SO is always great.

Hammond Collection is still pumping out great Dinosaurs but the Spinosaurus is a tier above. I’ve only picked up one human but again Ian Malcom is all the meme material.

I got my first ever Marvel figures this year. I don’t intend to get more but Rom and Shuma Gorath were must haves for me, and Howard the Duck has been a fun meme photo.

Ultraman had a Solid year, with Dyna and Gaia being my favorites. Galactron was a welcome and gorgeous addition while Mecha Gigantron was a stunning surprise.

Hiya Toys made a lot of announcements that Im hyped for, but actual releases were rare for me this year. But the two I got are stunning. Ghidoah is my Kaiju Collection Centerpiece and Shimo shimmers in the best possible way.

SHMA leads the pack, with the 1954 Poster Color Godzilla, Godzilla 2000, Anguirus and an honorable mention to Moguera and his dock. At the start of the year Anguirus was my most hyped figure, but now he’s a bit closer to the bottom - not because he’s bad but because everything else is so good.
