The KIM-1 was an amazing little machine. It ran a whole universe of programming languages: BASIC, PASCAL, FORTH, FOCAL, VTL02, PILOT, and COMAL.

I‘ve build two c64 portables back in the days. The difficult thing is to produce 50Hz for the TOD (- time of day). The C64 derives it‘s timing in two ways: a quartz for the CPU and the peaks of the AC for the actual time, like the timing variable $TI
