Tenzij ze allemaal in een eigen silo springen met centraal gecontroleerde backends en/of frontends.

Indien geen #FOSS zoals @matrix.org is het onvermijdelijk een kwestie van tijd voor dat door een overheid/big tech/APT/… geïnfiltreerd wordt.

Encrochat, die *dachten* dat ze E2EE chatten hé.

Ja, diegenen met de incentive, die blijven privé en verborgen. Dat was zo en daar zal ook chatcontrol niks aan veranderen.

Zo is een belangrijk punt dat De Burger de pineut zou zijn van chatcontrol, niet de crimineel die ze beweren te beogen.

Want idd, "backdoor for bad guys only" is een illusie.

• Encrochat: infra overgenomen door politie, alles uitgelezen.
• wie beetje technisch is aangelegd, of die noodzaak ziet, kan altijd privé chatten. Torchat, i2pchat, OTR, GPG/PGP, tegenwoordig self-hosted matrix instanties…

Probleem met #chatcontrol is dat De Burger uitgelezen wordt.

EU-brede regels "om schadelijke belastingstelsels die enkel de superrijken bevoordelen tegen te gaan".

Een Europees vermogensregister om rijkdom te traceren.

Een gemeenschappelijke Europese standaard voor kapitaalsbelasting.

Meer transparantie over hoeveel de rijksten daadwerkelijk aan belasting betalen.

Up on a hill, low horizon sunset. It's almost dark out, just a sliver of orange sunlight remains in the distance. My telescope is all set up for the night.

Or so I thought: soon not just dew but only clouds set in. I packed everything back in and walked back to the bungalow a bit down on the hill. 😂😭

New: Apple banned an app that simply archived videos of ICE abuses. Rather than other apps that record ICE official's real-time location, Eyes Up is to "preserve evidence until it can be used in court." Videos from TikTok etc. Every submission manually reviewed

Wtf. Het Europees Parlement heeft zojuist voor een verbod op de 'veggie burger' gestemd. De vleeslobby probeert hiermee de transitie naar meer plantaardig eten te stoppen. Ze houden krampachtig vast aan een onhoudbaar voedselsysteem.
